Yinghao Xu (Justin)

Assistant Professor, HKUST CSE

Hi, I'm Yinghao!

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the HKUST. Previously, I am staff research scientist in Robbyant, leading a research group working on world models and embodied AI. Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University working with Prof. Gordon Wetzstein.

My current research focuses on 3D computer vision, generative AI and embodied AI. I am particularly interested in developing powerful generative models to perceive and generate compact representations of environments and leverage them to understand, interact with, and reason about the physical world.
